If you are currently running a licensed and activated copy of Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 Home or Pro, get Windows 10 for free by following these steps:

  • Visit the Download Windows 10 website: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
  • On the Windows website, click Download tool now from the Create Windows 10 installation media section.
  • Choose to either upgrade your current PC or Create installation media for another PC.
  • Simply follow the prompts.
  • Once the upgrade is complete you should be able to see a digital license from Settings Update & Security -> Activation, on your upgraded Windows 10 PC
